The Elementary section comprises of Std I and II and the Primary section comprises of Std III and IV with three divisions each called Karma, Shraddha and Dhyaan. The teacher student ratio in Std. I is 1:18 and from Std II changes to 1:27.
The Head of Department along with the class teachers work with environmental themes, weaving in reading, writing, speaking, laboratory work and Mathematical proficiency as well as computer knowledge. The Class teachers are assisted by specialists in the areas of Music, Dance, Art and craft, Personality Development, Games, Gymnastics, Social service, Field visits and Library Three Indian languages- Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati continue with a formal introduction to writing in the Elementary and Primary School.
The Project Methodology is undertaken in the Elementary and Primary School. The children identify what they already know and what they would like to explore. The students are provided carefully designed hands-on activities, skill-based readers and worksheets.
The Elementary and Primary programme is designed keeping in mind the concepts of developmental readiness, growth of interest and curiosity, increasing mental focus, emotional awareness and physical ability as well as widening aesthetic, social and ethical skills. Since the school has continuous assessments, we are able to encourage cooperation and participation and sustain in our students a love for learning.
The students are exposed to global dimensions through their regular curriculum and also through interactions with their counterparts abroad. We develop partnerships with schools in different parts of the world, sharing our work using letters and emails. This interaction leads to an exchange of cultural practices and experiences.
Parent’s participation in all spheres of school life enables an understanding of the pedagogy and an appreciation of their child’s rapid growth and development.
